Cogeneration at Millicent Mill, South Australia
We've invested $33 million in a cogeneration facility at our Millicent Mill to make us more energy efficient and reduce our emissions.
The installation was completed in 2013 and is expected to:
- Reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 80,000 tonnes per annum
- Provide 100% of the mill's steam and 92% of its total electricity
- The gas turbine generator will produce electricity to power 36,000 average homes
- Set an energy standard benchmark for Kimberly-Clark tissue mills globally

Our commitment to making your business more sustainable starts with the products we make. That's why we continually work to reduce the environmental impacts of our products at all stages of the lifecycle - from raw materials through ultimate disposal.
Identifying opportunities to reduce impact at every stage helps use less of the world's natural resources, leaving more for the future - for our children, for the planet, for our businesses.

Our commitment to sustainability has been a priority since we were founded almost 150 years ago.
Our responsible choices help you make your own sustainable decisions about the products you choose, the resources you use, and the impact you have.
