Jacqueline Fegent-McGeachie, Kimberly-Clark
Kimberly-Clark launched the first online sustainability report
for Kimberly-Clark Australia and New Zealand. As you read the
report you will see how, by working together, we've achieved great
things in sustainability and social responsibility in 2012.
•Over 20% of our people volunteered in the community and we
dispatched 8,000 cases of essential products to those in need and
affected by natural disasters through Foodbank Australia.
•We reduced our overall carbon dioxide emissions by 24% and are
looking to make further reductions this year with our cogeneration
facility at Millicent Mill.
•The Huggies brand launched Hugs for Healing, a new partnership
with the Children's Hospital Foundations Australia and donated an
initial $100,000 that will directly fund vital medical equipment
aimed at helping heal sick babies and toddlers.
•We became a foundation partner of the REDcycle Program with
Coles to help consumers to recycle the flexible plastic packaging
used for many of our products.
•We continued our commitment to WWF's Love Your Forests program,
raising awareness about the importance of FSC certification and
sourcing tissue, paper and timber products from responsibly managed
forests. These are only a few of Kimberly-Clark's many great
achievements from 2012. Check out the online report to find out
more about our accomplishments, goals and initiatives
